I wanted to thank you for your recent coaching. I found the support really helpful and it felt like a very constructive way to work through a problem. I also found your prompts very useful, as they helped to structure our discussion and move me on in areas where I sometimes felt a little lost! It’s been a pleasure working with you and I wish you all the best for the future. (FN, London)
Thanks very much for the coaching sessions, perfect timing for me to take stock and plan out my roadmap moving forward. I have quite a lot to think about, plan and prioritise moving forward (GH, Cumbria)
"I had 4 very helpful sessions with Pervin over a numbers of weeks, covering CV development, interview techniques and career development. Pervin assisted me in developing a succinct, relevant and highly informative CV. She helped me draw out the relevant skills and experience on my CV in a concise, yet detailed manner. Pervin also provided constructive feedback on interview techniques. This included both answering and asking questions in an interview. Overall my sessions with Pervin were very positive and provided me with confidence for interviews and next steps in my career development. She asked thought provoking questions and encouraged me to step back and look at my career path from a different perspective." (SF, London)
I met Pervin through my association with Warwick Business School and signed up for some professional coaching sessions. Slightly dubious at first and unsure what value the relationship could bring, I quickly realised that I needed to change the way I looked at myself and the world around me. Pervin helped me to do this. Like so many a professional I had gotten comfortable with the predictability of my corporate life and had begun to constrain my future options and think self-limiting thoughts. Pervin challenged me in a respectful way and encouraged me to think differently which has allowed me to get back on the front foot and make some bold choices.
I thoroughly recommend Pervin and believe she can make a difference if you are willing to devote the time and energy to the relationship (R.K, London)
“The coaching sessions with Pervin made a real difference in me, both on personal and professional level.
On the one hand I felt very much empowered. Those sessions helped me to rebuild my confidence and to overcome all the mental barriers I was, unconsciously, putting to myself and my work. On the other hand, Pervin’s coaching taught me how to be more focused, organised, and self-disciplined. She helped me to understand the importance to have a critical mind, always wondering “What’s next? How can I improve that? What did I learn from my mistake? What did I learn from success”? I’m now always questioning myself in order to be able to bring my business on the next level. I have now a clearer vision of my business and I’m very grateful that I have been introduced to Pervin, whose help added a real value to my business and entrepreneurial life.” (Hadia, London, UK)
I had a number of coaching sessions from Pervin over the period of approximately 3 months. Our discussions lasted approximately 45 minutes, during which time, I was asked a number of questions and to had to consider a range of issues from a completely different perspective. I enjoyed being challenged to review the way in which I was working and very quickly came to see that my attitude and approach to my working environment was not particularly balanced, was potentially unhelpful and unhealthy, and resulted in my focusing on what I perceived to be the very negative aspects of my role and my working environment. Through the life coaching support that I received, I was able to breakdown the negative perceptions that I had built up around my work environment. Gradually, I began about my role and my work environment in a different way.
I now feel much more motivated about my role with my current employer. I feel that my new and refreshed attitude to my work has helped me to better deal with stressful or frustrating circumstances in a much more productive way. I am also aware that some of my relationships with colleagues have improved significantly. I am generally much happier at work and I would definitely recommend this service to others in a similar situation. I would say that as a participant in this process that you need to be very honest about yourself as an individual, and your working style. You would also need to be willing to change how you approach work and to sustain these changes to get the best out of life coaching. (TL, London)
Thank you for your assistance towards improving my CV. The changes you made were key to me securing interviews and subsequently my current job. I will definitely be recommending your services to anyone wanting a CV of the highest standard. (TO, London)
The truth is that each of us have more power and ability within us than most realise. Unfortunately, most go through their lives without realising their potential. Pervin gave me the tools that helped me unleash the hidden potential and overcome fears. Pervin comes well prepared responding to client's preset goals for the session, which ensures that the session is effective, focused and satisfying. To be honest, I was sceptical of coaching at first but Pervin has proven me wrong. Pervin has a wealth of experience of working for big organisations herself, which is very useful as she can relate to the experiences and provide very helpful guidance. (AC, London)
I benefitted tremendously from a recent consultation with Pervin. I had been having
difficulty coming to terms with recent events, mainly a challenging job situation.
A City professional, I was at risk of redundancy and not sure how to deal with the
situation. It did not help that I was not particularly fond of my job in any case.
P was really helpful, with an engaging and open style that allowed me to formulate
the main issues confronting me. It is not about easy answers, because these do not
exist. The current economic climate makes it especially challenging to make life
changes, and she stressed the importance of being realistic, including consideration
of finances and budgeting in the event of redundancy, and that things may get worse
for me before they get better. One of the main themes that resonated with me is
the need to "let go." Busy, successful people are used to addressing and overcoming
obstacles, but sometimes trying too hard is counterproductive, especially when trying
to make major life and/or career changes. I had (and still am) dealing with what
steps to take, and P was instrumental in my taking greater ownership over my own
thought process and decision-making.
It is important to recognise that a person dealing with stressful life events usually
cannot see his/her situation objectively. After speaking with P, I now realise that
I am following a growth opportunity and will continue to face challenges, but that
the key is how I carry myself. It occurred to me that I was not entirely happy in
the corporate world, which tries to put us in a box, and that I was treading water
career-wise.
P helped me to come to terms with the fact that life is a challenge and that experiencing
a wide variety of emotions is normal, instead of merely showing up in a job and
experiencing "blah" too much of the time. It was a beautiful day when P and I consulted,
and she helped me to recognise that it is so crucial to appreciate what is around
us on a daily basis (eg colourful flowers); often when stuck in a rut we take things
for granted. One final point that I found noteworthy is the importance in life of
being an "architect", planning a life of meaningful goals and milestones, rather
than simply reacting to life. I am aware now that there are no easy solutions, but
I have the tools within me to face what I need to.
I would thoroughly recommend Pervin as a top-notch coach; she has the ability and
experience to add value to your life. (Simon K, UK)
Many thanks for sending me your monthly newsletters. I've really enjoyed them. They have definitely helped me to focus on my goals, motivated me and helped me to keep that 'belief' in myself. I have had an up and down year, both with my health and my business. My health has prevented me from progressing with my business and in my worst days, began doubting whether I'd ever make a success of it. Interestingly, one of the things that has helped me to pick myself up and dust myself down, is drawing on some of the topics in your newsletter. Yes I've skimmed through most of them but its funny, even when you don't have the time to read things in detail, one little nougat seems to stay at the back of your mind. One of them (I think the very first one you sent me) was ?dream BIG and doing what is necessary to make your dreams a reality?. It's drawing on those words that has driven me on and kept ?that fire in my belly? and yes I am still dreaming BIG ? despite what has been happening in the economy! (MP, London, UK)
Since starting coaching with Pervin, I have improved my time management, preparation and planning for all projects ten-fold. I have greater clarity in all my businesses and feel more prepared with every challenge that occurs. The sessions have been most insightful and not sure how I have managed thus far without them. Thanks Pervin. (Lee Hazzard –Founder of Mobile Media Training)
Hi Pervin - I have to admit, ur "crunch time" email couldn't have come to me at a better time... everything i have been experiencing, u nailed it and ur suggestions are what I needed to hear and reminded of as well... being in north America, its the fall of the economy that has loomed everywhere, its the dominant conversation with fellow business people and even the excuse i have made for some of my short comings. I broke down my situations through your suggested questions and realized that I actually do have more opportunity than I have short comings and i spent so much time dealing with outcomes that MIGHT NOT HAPPEN!!!! or have already happened and were not as bad as i keep replaying in my mind... Thank you Pervin... as they say, when ur ready to learn the teacher will appear:) I am digging deeper inside, starting to trust my instincts more and not hesitating as a result of outside circumstances.. opportunities are abound!!! I see them now. I really needed this Pervin. Thank you (JB, North America)
I have been going thru an amazing personal journey over the last year, and have met some incredible people who have helped me along this journey, and one of the persons I would say is Pervin. My coaching sessions weren't just about achieving goals, but to help over come obstacles I was creating and changing my limiting beliefs, I really thought I wouldn't be able move on further or change my beliefs or self doubt. Each coaching session was very challenging for me, as I'd had to dig down deep within myself and would never really open up to anyone, but with Pervin's non-judgemental, positive and focused approach, she really helped me gain my own solutions and clarity on changing my beliefs. I feel more enlightened now and thanks to Pervin who I will recommend to anyone who would like to take up life coaching (TP, London, UK)
The Life Coach sessions with Pervin were really empowering and I felt very positive after each telephone call. I became very excited about the future and how I could implement the things that I had uncovered. It gave me new avenues of thought on subjects where I didn't think there was any more to be learnt. Pervin appears to have a deep understanding on lots of issues and she dealt with them very professionally. My overall impression of myself at the end of the coaching was that I am in a rut. This is something that I hadn't considered before. Pervin was also very pleasant and non-judgemental and I felt a real rapport with her. (J.H. LEWIS, UK)
I had a series of coaching sessions with Pervin, they were based around my health and fitness goals. They were quite challenging and demanding. Working with Pervin, I became more clearer on my goals and reached my fitness targets a lot sooner. I would urge those who want to gain more from their goals and dreams to carry out coaching with Pervin and see how you too can excel in your life. (H.R. UK)
This remarkable woman of great knowledge and wisdom, helped me to identify how to lead my best life in a more meaning and purposeful way to my self. My own success would be built upon my passions and dreams and not on anybody else?s. Pervin helped to find my own self worth and riches held within myself, which just needed to be identified. If money does not buy happiness, but happiness can buy money then Pervin Shaikh will help you discover how to manifest happiness in to your own life. I feel so much more positive and open to my current situations and I?m able to apply new skills to every day events. My only negative thought is that I don?t have this dynamic lady coaching me everyday. How blessed I would be, I hope you enjoy your journey as much as I did mine. (Tony G. Deyn, UK)
During my coaching sessions with Pervin, I began to appreciate how my values were impacting my personal and professional relationships. What I valued about the coaching sessions was the opportunity to work through obstacles and barriers which had frustrated me in the past. By working through them, I gained greater clarity and began to appreciate how my values played a significant role in the way I reacted to experiences and people around me. Subsequently, my personal and professional relationshps have improved significantly and I feel all the more better for it. Working with Pervin was also positively enlightening because her working style has enabled me to take greater ownership and acceptance of my development and behaviour. (CM, Sydney, Australia)
Pervin never tires in her quest to help you with your goals, giving you much needed space to be listened to and ever ready with her empathetic approach. However, don't let this fool you into thinking that your sessions will be easy, Pervin will help you push your own boundaries and is not for the faint hearted - but for me, that is what makes a brilliant coach. (MK)
Since I have been seeing Pervin as my coach, my luck has definitely turned for the better, she has changed my way of looking at things and the way I approach life in general, she is especially excellent at organisation skills, and how to approach tasks and the way in which to work more efficiently. I would recommend her to anyone who is looking to improve the way they live and further their career (HT)
Pervin is a wise and intelligent coach to work with and will help you to learn about yourself, realise that you are in control and that you do have options. She is passionate to enable you to achieve your aims by challenging, supporting and encouraging (Stephen T)
Working with Pervin has enabled me to look at issues I have been facing from all angles. I really get lots out of our coaching sessions and always feel good about myself afterwards. I would recommend Pervin to anyone interested in taking on a coach (MS)
Pervin's method of questioning were thought provoking and made me realised how to
tackle the issues more positively. In this way i felt more confident about myself. When
all the doors seemed to be closed, Pervin helped me to see there is a open door
through which a person can begin to aim high. Pervin went the extra mile to support
me in working out to have a positive outlook and be more confident in life.During
our coaching sessions, she used techniques that helped me to focus on my aims.I
would recommend her to anyone who wants to develop a positive attitude towards life
(M Shahid)
I really liked Aim High's coaching style because I had the freedom to create, design
and implement my own action plans. Initially I thought I would be told what to do,
but found it very liberating when the onus was on me to make things happen. If you
want empowered coaching, then Aim High will give this to you. I thoroughly recommend
this style of coaching to anyone wishing to be empowered (Sara N, UK)
I met Pervin through a common interest we share. I was always impressed with her go out and live you best life approach and empowering attitude. When I found out she was a life coach I thought I would give it a try, as we all can use some guidance occasionally. Through Pervin's very focussed attitude and gentle but firm demeanour she has helped me in working through and finding clarity in some decisions I had to make. Pervin does not make the decisions or even offer solutions, what she does do is give you the tools to make your own choices. Pervin also through various activities empowers you to then go on to build on the decisions you have made. It is easy to lose focus or direction in this very hectic and busy life we all lead, sometimes we all need someone like Pervin to bring us back, show us how we lost our way and point us in the direction that we want to go.If anyone is considering a life coach for whatever reason be it personal or professional I highly recommend Pervin, she is focussed, patient, and a very knowledgeable person.(MH Victoria Australia)
